How do you look cutting-edge and manage to save a bundle too? Easy. Look for off the beaten path fashion designers that are just getting their start. If you are in need of a graphic t-shirt, hoodie or women’s vintage fashion, you are in luck.

The web has allowed small DIY operations to come to the attention of consumers worldwide. They can be a little tough to find and since they usually cater to a niche market (if they are smart), it is even harder to find a boutique that suits your needs. However, when you find something good… you will come back for more as long as their designs continue to suit your tastes.

Some great places to look include myspace (especially for women’s vintage), bigcartel and storeenvy shops. Two of my personal favourites include Black Sea Apparel and Believe Clothing. In addition, you might find a spiffy indie seller on eBay.
